Guitar Arpeggios - The Answers To The Last Lesson
Welcome back!
If you didn't do your homework from the last lesson, then please do it now before you read further. Yeah, I know
I'm being tough on you...but you'll learn a LOT more by doing it. :-)
All done? Fantastic! Here are the answers...
The Answers
Let's start with the Major Seventh arpeggios first...
E Major 7th: 1st Finger start

E Major 7th: 2nd Finger start

E Major 7th: 3rd Finger start

E Major 7th: 4th Finger start

E Minor 7th: 1st Finger start

E Minor 7th: 2nd Finger start

E Minor 7th: 3rd Finger start

E Minor 7th: 4th Finger start

E Minor 7th Flat 5: 1st Finger start

E Minor 7th Flat 5: 2nd Finger start

E Minor 7th Flat 5: 3rd Finger start

E Minor 7th Flat 5: 4th Finger start

E Dominant 7th: 1st Finger start

E Dominant 7th: 2nd Finger start

E Dominant 7th: 3rd Finger start

E Dominant 7th: 4th Finger start

Notice how the last two have exactly the same diagram. No, this isn't a mistake. The note
locations are exactly the same, but you will use different fingers to play each one.
(You'll see what I mean when you play through them).
Phew...it's only now after doing all those diagrams that I realize just how much homework I gave you! I hope you
learned a lot by doing it.
If you haven't already memorized all the arpeggio shapes, then it would be a great idea to do that now. Yeah,
it's a lot of work. But arpeggios are incredibly useful for soloing...so it really is worth making the effort.
:-)
That's all for now. Practice hard, and I'll see you next time!
All the best,
Craig Bassett.
